This page explains how to delete your account in the Entwyn app, how to request deletion if you can no longer sign in, and what happens to your data afterwards. Entwyn is a product of Inference Aftermath Private Limited. The full details of how we handle your data are in our Privacy Policy.
1. Delete From the App
The fastest way to delete your account is from inside the Entwyn app:
- Open Settings, then Account.
- Choose Delete Account and confirm.
Once your request is accepted, you are signed out on every device, push notifications stop, and your account becomes inaccessible. Your profile is hidden from other users immediately.
2. If You Can No Longer Sign In
You do not need the app to request deletion. Email privacy@entwyn.ai and ask us to delete your account. To protect your account, we verify every request before acting on it: you either reply from the email address registered to the account, or — where SMS delivery is available — read back a one-time code we send to the phone number registered to it. Simply knowing the email address or phone number is never enough. We respond within 3 business days. Once your control of the account is verified, our team initiates the same deletion as the in-app flow, so everything below — including the 30-day restore window — applies exactly as if you had deleted the account yourself. As a safeguard, a deletion notice goes to the account's registered email (or by SMS to the registered phone, where SMS delivery is available), so the real owner can contact support within 30 days if the request was fraudulent.
3. The 30-Day Restore Window
For 30 days after your deletion request is accepted:
- you can ask us to restore the account by emailing support@entwyn.ai;
- your account identifiers (such as your phone number) stay reserved for the deleted account and cannot be used to create a new one; and
- any retained profile data stays hidden from other users.
If the account is not restored within 30 days, the deletion becomes irreversible.
4. What Is Deleted and What We Keep
After the 30-day window ends, your remaining account data, identifiers, and private chat media are automatically and permanently deleted. A small amount of data may be kept afterwards:
- minimal deletion receipts, retained for up to one year to document that the deletion completed; and
- safety, dispute, payment, or legal records, retained longer where the law requires and disassociated from the account where supported.
